New SC240ML waterproof computer upgrade supports dual hot swap removable drives.
The SC240ML supports a total of four 2.5" drives. The two SATA removable drives are sealed with a gasketed cover plate attached with thumb screws. A typical configuration would include an internal solid state flash drive supporting the operating system with a raid drive configuration set up on the removable drives. As an example, this configuration is ideal for digital security video streaming applications. |

Rugged computer model SC240M cold boot and operational test to -40°C using its' in house temperature chamber.
The SC240M has a posted operating temperature of -20°C to 55°C. Using its' temperature chamber, Small PC has tested and confirmed extended operating temperature -20°C to 60°C of specific SC240M configurations.

Small PC partners with OCE and McMaster Univisity in Thermal Research.
The project leader, Dr. Chan Ching, is an expert in two-phase flow and heat transfer. Dr. Ching established the Thermal Management Research Laboratory at McMaster University. The results and data of this two year collaborative project have lead to several improvements to the design of the thermal management solution used in Small PC’s line of rugged sealed computers.
